This is such an exciting post for so many reasons! I am thrilled to be getting back into the blogging world, mostly so that I can stay in touch with everyone & continue to help with my favorite finds. And now that we’ve actually got some chilly weather rolling in, it’s a perfect time for all of us to get our Fall staples together☺ This jacket that I’m wearing could NOT be a better transitional piece! It looks fantastic with either with all white (since we should all be wearing white year round these days), all black, or thrown on with a little dress & OTK Boots… AND IT JUST GOT MARKED DOWN TO ALMOST HALF OFF, ON THIS WEBSITE ONLY! SO scoop it up while you can before it’s gone…! The V-neck is THE most perfect pocket tee EVER & comes in tons of colors. It’s not a bad idea to get as many white ones as you can, it’s that good. The necklace is super cool since it seems like I’m wearing three, but it’s actually just one, and it’s only $45 bucks!  I love these white flares too that I got from one of my favorite stores in New Orleans, CLOVER; they exclusively, carry this brand if you are local. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read. I hope you’ll follow along as I post more Fall & Holiday outfit combo’s to keep you all in the know, along with upcoming trends for Holiday & this upcoming Spring so you can think about transitioning while making your current purchases…

Spacer  I’m so happy to get back into the swing of things on my blog-with this project being the first… This project was one of the most fun (and challenging) projects I’ve worked on yet and just recently wrapped up. I just loved working with Raine & George Demmas & I’m so psyched to share the before & after of the hotel lobby of Generations Hall that we converted into two new units. These will be the prototypes for the future units in the 25 unit hotel. This post is very different from my normal fashion posts & I love that because it truly shows the other aspects that The Coveted Life consists of, not just my normal fashion posts… I decided to use some of my ideas like the half wall in the bedrooms that were BRILLIANT, so that one side could double as a desk.  Along with other ideas I had been longing to explore. It’s so hard to tell from the images, but if you look at the first picture, you will see a HUGE space that needed MUCH TLC-so we decided, rather than having a huge lobby in a boutique hotel, that it would make more sense to convert the lobby into two fully functioning rooms that could be revenue generating, as apposed to just a random open space. I LOVE designing and being able to work with my home clients and administering different budgets; this project came out so fabulously, while REALLY challenging me by watching our budget for my client since it was a commercial project and budgets were a little tighter than they may be in one’s home. I worked within their budget, met deadlines, while still maintaining a new a fresh look for both units. The most gratifying part of it all was the fact that both units were rented (long term) within one week of completion. I was so happy for the owners. I owe everything to George and Raine for bringing me on-along with their contractor for putting up with me. I love and miss this project every day….  THREEheartsSM   Spacer  Photos by Michelle Preau Photography  Spacer   Spacer   Title   Spacer   #06   #08   #07   #03   #04   #10   Spacer

Faux Fur , Silk TankVegan Leather LeggingsLeather LeggingsPumpsHatShadesCrossbodyRingPearl Ear Jackets  Spacer  First, I wanted to thank everyone at Gambit & Cue Magazine for the incredibly kind piece that was released this week on The Coveted Life & my work. It’s such a great representation of my process & how I help my clients build their wardrobe while keeping them organized. So thank you Missy Wilkinson, Lee Cutrone, and everyone else at Gambit who had a part in making this happen. You can find the article on by searching Jenny Carr (or click here), if you’d like to read more about my services & packages. Speaking of some of my wardrobe building & “Must Have’s,” fur (or faux) & leather (or vegan) are two of my absolute favorites. It’s been a while since I’ve had time to do a photo shoot & also been a while since I’ve had time to post, but I’m super excited about this post. This outfit is a quintessential example of how I “Mix it up” & consider “Price per Wear” as Lee quoted, by wearing everything from high to low price point. I adore everything about this outfit-whether it’s my shaggy faux fur from Forever 21 to my leather leggings by Current Elliott. Every price point is totally embraced to create a totally fabulous look. THREEheartsSM

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season this year! I’ve been spending so much hands-on time dressing my clients & helping them prepare for all of their parties and vacations, I haven’t had as much time to post as I’d like. But I didn’t want this Winter pass us by without doing a post on “Winter Pastels,” since I think it’s such an important trend to touch on. While I HATE that word “Trend” there are some “trends” that I still think are important to gradually incorporate into your wardrobe to make it current. And adding a pastel to your blacks, grays, ivories, and blushes to your winter garb is a great way to keep your winter looks new & fresh. A pastel coat is a perfect way to “lighten” your look this winter without having to completely change so many pieces in your entire wardrobe, while still having everything totally tie back together. You can just toss it on with your existing pieces like I did it here in my post and VOILA! You have a totally new and fresh look. My pale blue BB Dakota Coat from The Mix in Mandeville has been such a great investment this season. How great that it’s only $129????!!! You can’t beat that for a fabulous wool coat so visit The Mix pronto–and if they sell out visit my site I’ve highlighted.
